Our top 5 tips for clearing — from Sarah Simms, Head of Admissions at UCA
- Don’t worry! Lots of excellent applicants receive a place in clearing and there’s no reason to be embarrassed or concerned about it.
- Remember, you don’t have to be in the UCAS system to apply for a course. We’re open to hearing from students from a range of backgrounds.
- Prepare and research your options. Don’t wait until the last minute on clearing day — be proactive and think about your interests in advance.
- Have your qualifications in front of you when you call to speak to admissions — it’ll make it much easier for them to help you.
- And finally, call us yourselves! We want to speak to you in person, not your mum, dad or family member.
