Application information
Academic requirements:
For our International Foundation in Art, Design and Media, we usually require that you have:
- Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Certificate (BHSEC) with a minimum of 50%
For our Bachelor's courses, we usually require that you have:
- Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Certificate 60%
For our Master's courses, we usually require that you have:
- Students with a three or four-year undergraduate degree overall 55% (Honours Bachelor degree or Professional degree) at an accredited university or college.
- For the MArch, we require the equivalent of a UK 2:1 Honours degree in Architecture. The exact grade required will be confirmed at the time of application.
English Language requirements:
- 65% or higher in the HSEC (12th standard) English subject
- Satisfactory IELTS scores are required. Please check here for the scores required for your course.

We have a number of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, available to new students from international countries who would like study with us from September 2022. These discounts are available to new International students and International alumni who graduated within the last three years.
An additional 4% discount (applied post scholarship) is offered to students who pay their full tuition fees before the end of the enrolment period. Thsi discount can be combined with all scholarships & discounts.

Terms and conditions
Eligibility
- Applicable for 2022-23 entry.
- The scholarship cannot be combined with any other UCA scholarship.
- Successful applicants will be expected to get involved in promotional activities.
- There are a limited number of each scholarship available and they are awarded on a first come first serve basis so long as you meet the eligibility criteria and you have been nominated by an academic.
How to apply
The early-bird scholarship will be automatically awarded if you meet all the eligibility criteria.
For all other scholarships if you are not nominated by an academic member of staff at your interview you can apply directly using the International Scholarship Application Form.
Once you have submitted your application you will receive an automated email confirming your form submission.
