Join us for an inspiring panel discussion on the rapidly evolving field of craft curation. This event will explore how curatorial practice is reshaping the way we experience and understand craft. Fellows at the Society of Designer Dr. Hazel Connors, Margaret Jones Craftsmen, and UCA Surrey Curator Dr. Loucia Manopoulou, will share their expertise and perspectives on how contemporary craft curation has shifted to become a dynamic creative process that pushes the craft practice forward, develops interdisciplinary opportunities and engages audiences in new and innovative ways.
 
The panel will explore key themes, including:

  • How contemporary craft curation is expanding to incorporate diverse mediums such as performance, installation, and interactive elements.
  • The development of immersive exhibition experiences, with a focus on creating meaningful environments that engage audiences through innovative spatial design and sensory impact.
  • The role of exhibitions as platforms for research, highlighting the connections between the processes of making, intellectual inquiry, and visitor experience.
