Lecturer in Fashion Design
Currently John manages his time between his role as a lecturer with the BA (Hons) Fashion Design third years at UCA Epsom and working in industry.
Bio
Outside of UCA, John leads his own design consultancy, with clients such as Hackett, Aquascutum, and Shackleton. John’s combination of professional practice and lecturing aids in offering students a real world feel as to what it means to be a designer in industry today – he often utilises his industry contacts to support the journey of the students, including internships and fabric sponsors.
Creative Direction and Menswear are John’s specialties, in which he has gained global knowledge – having worked in NYC, Hong Kong, and currently in China. Recent positions held by John include Creative Director of Gieves and Hawkes, Saville Row and Consultant Design Director at Kent and Curwen, HK.
