Lecturer and Year 1 Lead in Fashion Design
Jenna Young is the First Year Lead on the BA (Hons) Fashion Design course. Having worked in the fashion industry for over 15 years, she brings robust knowledge and experience to her role as Design Tutor.
Bio
Jenna studied at Goldsmiths University and The Royal College of Art. Her brand This Is The Uniform has shown at London, New York and Paris Fashion Week. Her work has been featured in Dazed, Another, LOVE, The New York Times, Vogue Italia and 10 Magazine, and This Is The Uniform has seen support from Solange Knowles, Dua Lipa, MIA and Rose McGowan, as well as being selected by Fashion East and MADE to receive sponsorship for on schedule shows.
Jenna is passionate about her research practice which centres around clothing and class. She is actively involved in her own practice-based research, which has led her to take part in exhibitions, discussions and events at Tate Britain, Cambridge University and Royal College of Art.
Jenna has previously tutored at Royal College of Art, Goldsmiths College, Morley College and Blackpool and the Fylde College, specialising in Fashion Design and Contextual Studies.
