Nick Turner

Learning and Teaching Librarian, UCA Epsom

Professional Services,

Nick Turner has been a librarian at UCA since 1999, and really enjoys working in an art and design university, as well as working with students and staff.

He is a member of the Learning Enhancement team, and delivers course-specific workshops covering research skills, Harvard referencing, plagiarism/copyright and the use of archives and special collections.  He also supports students through one-to-one research tutorials.

Nick works closely with academic staff to develop students’ research skills, and also contributes to course revalidations by checking and updating reading lists.

He has recently been involved in developing screencasts to highlight library services, and to support students’ academic writing (in collaboration with Learning Development Tutors and academic staff).

Nick works term-time only, and is based at both Epsom and Farnham.
