Alongside teaching at UCA, Mark maintains a fine art practice, specialising in sculpture, film and installation art with an additional curatorial element that means he collaborates with a range of artists, designers, galleries and writers.

Mark teaches across all courses within the School of Further Education at UCA, leading the fine art pathway at UCA Rochester. He has also a visiting lecturer at other UK institutions at degree level and has a postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching in the creative arts.

Mark graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University in 2003 before going on to study for an MA at Wimbledon College of Art in 2008, specialising in sculpture. He is currently completing a PhD at the Royal College of Art in the sculpture department.
