Kath Smith has been teaching at UCA for over eight years, and currently co-ordinates the pattern and production programme and teaching across all four years of the fashion course.

After graduating from BA (Hons) Fashion Design at the University of Northumbria Newcastle in 2000, Kath started as a womenswear pattern cutter for high street brands such as Whistles and Reiss, then became a freelance pattern cutter for London based designers including Temperley, Luella and Roksanda Illincic.

A multi product pattern cutter using Gerber, draping and manual cutting, and specialising in structured womenswear, tailoring and strapless garments.
