Dr Angela Gallagher-Brett

Angela leads on all aspects of education strategy within the Research and Education Department and on strategies for teaching, learning, assessment, teacher education and development and embedding employability into the curriculum.

Angela chairs the Student Success Committee and is responsible for the creative education, student learning development and careers and employability teams. 

She is an experienced language teacher and has a PhD in Modern Languages (Applied Linguistics) from the University of Southampton. She has published research in language learning and teaching motivation, pedagogic and action research, teacher development through technology, employability and transition to university. She supervises PhD students in learning and teaching.

Angela has a strong record of providing CPD in pedagogic and action research at national and international level. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is a fluent speaker of French and German.
