Fee discounts available

To support all of our applicants, we have developed a new range of fee discounts to help with the costs of further study. Please see the details below as the discounts available vary depending on the level of course you are applying to and where you are applying from.

UK fee discounts

Undergraduate to postgraduate taught courses

A fee discount, off the first year tuition fees for a full-time course, is available to all current UCA students in their final year, and UCA graduates from up to three years ago who are progressing to a postgraduate degree (such as a MA, MSc, MBM or MBA) starting in 2021 after completing their BA/BSc (Hons) degree at UCA

EU fee discounts

UCA Creative Europe Scholarship

The UCA Creative Europe Scholarship is for EU domiciled students commencing their studies with UCA as a new student in the 2021-22 academic year, who are classified as international students for fee purposes.

The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fees reduction for the duration of your course.

Terms and conditions

Eligibility

  • EU nationals permanently resident in an EU member state who are classified as international students for fees purposes.
  • Applicable for 2021-22 entry.
  • Applicable to self-funded applicants, as well holders of a private loan
  • The scholarship cannot be combined with any other UCA scholarship.
  • Successful applicants will be expected to get involved in promotional activities.

How to apply

The scholarship will be automatically awarded if you meet all the eligibility criteria. You do not need to complete an application form.

 

International fee discounts for new students

We have a number of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, available to new students from international countries who would like study with us from September 2021. These discounts are available to new International students and International alumni who graduated within the last three years.

Terms and conditions

Eligibility

  • Applicable for 2021-22 entry.
  • The scholarship cannot be combined with any other UCA scholarship.
  • Successful applicants will be expected to get involved in promotional activities.
  • There are a limited number of each scholarship available and they are awarded on a first come first serve basis so long as you meet the eligibility criteria and you have been nominated by an academic.

How to apply

The early-bird scholarship will be automatically awarded if you meet all the eligibility criteria.

For all other scholarships if you are not nominated by an academic member of staff at your interview you can apply directly using the International Scholarship Application Form.

Once you have submitted your application you will receive an automated email confirming your form submission.

 

International fee discounts for current students

We have a range of fee discounts, also known as scholarships, available to our current students from international countries who would like to continue studying with us. These discounts are only available to current International students and not to our international alumni.

To be eligible for a fee waiver discount under the new discount/scholarship scheme, international applicants must have paid their deposit by the end of June 2021.

You do not need to apply. The discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol. 

See below for information for the different levels of study: 

  • International Foundation to undergraduate courses

    For these courses, you can get a progression discount of £1,500 off the fees for the first year of the course you are progressing to and there is also an early payment discount of 4%.

  • Pre-degree to undergraduate courses

    For these courses, you can get a progression discount of £1,500 off the fees for the first year of the course you are progressing to and there is also an early payment discount of 4%.

  • Undergraduate to postgraduate taught courses

    For these courses, the progression discount depends on the grade you achieved in your undergraduate course at UCA:

    • If you achieved a 2:1 and above you will receive a fee discount of £2,000
    • If you achieved a 2:2 or below you will receive a fee discount of £1,500

    This discount is off the fees of the first year of the course you are progressing to and is available for graduates of all UCA undergraduate degrees who graduated within the previous 3 years of starting your postgraduate course.

  • Graduate Diploma: Art & Design to postgraduate taught courses

    For these course, you can get a progression discount of £1,500 off the fees for the first year of the course you are progressing to and there is also an early payment discount of 4%.

  • Postgraduate taught to postgraduate research courses

    For MPhil and PhD courses, the progression discount depends on the grade you achieved in your postgraduate course at UCA:

    • If you achieved a Distinction you will receive a fee discount of £3,000
    • If you achieved a Merit or Pass you will receive a fee discount of £2,000

    This discount is off the fees of each year of the course you are progressing to and is available for graduates of all UCA postgraduate degrees who graduated within the previous 5 years of starting your research degree course.

  • More information

    These are fee discount schemes and not cash awards.

    Some discounts are only available to current international students at UCA and not alumni and to be eligible you must not have a break between your course courses.

    The progression discount and 4% early payment discounts are also in place for international students who will be awarded whichever is the most advantageous to their circumstances.

    To be eligible for a fee waiver discount you must accept your offer by the last day in June for September start courses or November for February start courses.

    You do not need to apply for this scholarship, if you are eligible the discount will automatically be deducted from your fees before you enrol.
