Jewellery/Silversmithing Technician
Dan is the Tutor Technician for Silversmithing & Jewellery at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in Farnham.
Bio
He works alongside fellow technicians and academics to bring a diverse and creative education to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dan introduces each student to a comprehensive range of jewellery and silversmithing techniques that aims to encourage an arc of technical learning through their formal education and into their professional career.
Dan graduated from Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design with a BA (Hons) in Jewellery, Silversmithing & Allied Crafts in 1995.
After running his own business in Jewellery making and design, he pursued a career in teaching – beginning in 2005 as Jeweller in Residence at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell and continuing to the present day at UCA.
