UCA is always exploring ways to adapt and improve their education and conduct around preventing harassment.

This year, we have begun conversations with a professional provider of forum theatre style workshop experiences. We will be piloting a workshop on consent, anti-racism and supporting gender inclusion, with our freshers’ students next academic year, with the hope to roll it out university-wide to staff and students.

Training for new starters, staff, and students, in consent and preventing harassment is mandatory.

On campus, we have designated Sexual Violence Liaison Officers, numerous staff with counsellor and mediation training, as well as positive connections with local agencies, all of whom specialise in a survivor- and trauma-centred approach to individuals.

We offer Report + Support as a platform to report, anonymous or in a named way, an instance of unwanted behaviour to us so that we can work with you to resolve it.

Equality & Diversity at UCA:
