Campus Buddy Scheme

Campus Buddies are student volunteers who support new students who are on the Autistic Spectrum or experience Anxiety with some of the social aspects of settling into university life during term 1.

  • Increase confidence
  • Develop transferable skills
  • Gain a nationally recognised vInspired certificate
  • Gain experience of working 1:1 in supporting another student
  • Gain diversity awareness training
  • Enhance your CV
  • Meet new people
  • Connect one to one with a current student
  • Hear their experience of being a student at UCA
  • Support with attending Fresher's events
  • Meet new people
  • Increase your confidence or reduce your worries

Campus Buddies:

New students:

  • If you are a UCA student who has studied for at least one year at the same campus.
  • Alumni are not eligible to participate.
  • If you are a new student starting in September.
  • This scheme is run by Academic Services and is prioritised for new students who are on the Autistic Spectrum or experience Anxiety.
