Competitions

Each UCA competition will have 3 x prize winners. The prize structure is as follows:

1^st prize- £100.00 Arts Voucher
2^nd prize- £50.00 Arts Voucher
3^rd prize- £25.00 Arts Voucher

*The prizes are as stated and no other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. The prizes are awarded for each competition in each school.

UCA will select a panel of a minimum of three judges. The judges will determine the shortlist, winner and runners-up. UCA reserves the right to appoint new/substitute judges at different stages of the competition for reasons outside its reasonable control (including, but not limited to, in the case of illness, unavoidable absence or conflict of interest of any of the judges).

Judging and final decisions of competition winners will take the week after the competition closes. The final decision will be announced 1 week after the competition is closed.

Shortlisted entries will be displayed on the UCA competition website 

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Crafts & Design competition dates:
Closed - Shortlist enteries to be announced by Friday 5 March.

Film, Media & Performing Arts competition dates:
Thursday 01 April 2021 competition opens.
Sunday 25 April 2021 competition closes.

Creative Business competition dates:
Monday 24 May 2021 competition opens.
Sunday 13 June 2021 competition closes.

Fine Art, Photography & Visual Comms competition dates:
Monday 19 July 2021 competition opens.
Sunday 22 August 2021 competition closes.

Our competitions are suitable for young people aged 15-18 who have an interest in creative subjects and would like to develop their skills, knowledge and portfolio.  

The aim of these competitions are to provide an opportunity for young people to access free creative opportunities from a higher education institution to support them to find out more about creative subjects, pathways, and careers.

Participants must reside in the United Kingdom to enter.
