UCA Students’ Union (UCASU) represents, supports and provides opportunities for every student at the university. Every year the SU holds elections for students to decide who represents them best, making sure the Union knows what it’s like to study at UCA and what can be done to make things better. Whether this is about the social community, hot topics everyone is talking about, or stuff happening on your course, the SU is here for you.
There are plenty of ways to get involved with the Students’ Union, which has an office on every campus. If you want to improve your experience of living and studying at UCA, you can join or run a club or society, become a member of student council, be a course rep or take part in the events run by the Union.
The Union offers a range of information, advice and guidance on academic issues too. If things aren’t going as expected, the SU is available to support you and get you back on track. You’ll always get a warm welcome at the SU, and they will always try to help with whatever is on your mind.
With so many ways to be an active part of the Students’ Union, the possibilities are huge. There are lots of clubs and societies across all four campuses, run by students and supported by the SU. While not all societies run across each campus, you can always launch one at your campus yourself. Our current range of clubs and societies includes:
- Anime & Comic
- Performing Arts
- Five-a-Side Football
- Life drawing
- Christian Union
- Ink & Printing
The Students' Union website and Glue (the student magazine) will keep you updated with all the latest union news, events listings, clubs and societies on your campus and volunteering opportunities.
