Maidstone TV Studios offers you the unique opportunity to study television production in the UK's largest independent TV studio facility. In this professional environment you’ll have the chance to work on high-profile TV shows and network with leading industry professionals.

We have a dedicated technical tutor on site as well as a dedicated work-placement coordinator who can help you with work-experience opportunities.

Maidstone is a vibrant town in Kent, 32 miles from London and close to our Rochester campus. Maidstone offers excellent shopping, museums and galleries, events throughout the year and stunning local countryside to explore.

If you love to eat out then Maidstone won’t disappoint you. And with a variety of pubs, bars and nightclubs, there’s always places to go when the sun goes down.

Academic facilities

At the Maidstone Studios you'll have exclusive access to an expansive learning and teaching space, including 25 Apple editing-suites, screening rooms, audition room, sound booth, kitchen, kit room and library. Take the M20 towards Maidstone-Channel Tunnel. Continue on the M20 and exit at Junction 7, sign-posted Maidstone.

At the first roundabout, take the third exit signposted Maidstone-Bearstead. Stay in the left-hand lane.

At the next round about take the first exit on the left, drive past Notcutts Garden Centre. You will approach another roundabout, take the second exit (the Studios are signposted from here).

You will start driving up a small hill, at the top of the hill is another roundabout. You will see the Studios positioned on your right.

 

Journey times:

From London Gatwick - 40 minutes
From London Heathrow - 60 minutes
From Folkestone/Dover - 35 minutes

The nearest train station is Maidstone East (there are two train stations in Maidstone). The Trains depart from London Victoria and London Bridge.

Accommodation

In your first year you can choose to apply for a place in our halls of residence at Doust Way in Rochester, which is about 20 minutes away.

Alternatively, you can search for private accommodation in the Maidstone area.
