International fees and finance

This information is for international students only. If you are a UK or EU student, you will need our fees and finance pages.

There are two options of fees for all courses except the Pre-sessional English courses. If you choose to pay your fees in full before you enrol for your course, you will pay the discounted fee. If you choose to pay after you enrol, or pay in instalments, you will pay the standard fee.

Please note: These fees are correct for the stated academic year only. Costs may increase each year during a student’s period of continued registration on course in line with inflation (subject to any maximum regulated tuition fee limit). Any adjustment for continuing students will be at or below the RPI-X forecast rate.

Paying your deposit and tuition fees

Once you have firmly accepted your offer to study with us, you will need to pay a tuition fee deposit of £2,500. You should use our online payment system to pay your deposit. We need this before we can issue your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number, which you need when you apply for your visa.

The quickest way to pay is by using our online payment system. You can use the online payment systems to:

  • Pay your deposit
  • Pay your deposit and tuition fee in full
  • Pay your deposit and tuition fee in two instalments (in September and January)
  • Pay your deposit and tuition fee in six instalments (spread across your first six months).

If you would prefer to pay your deposit by bank transfer, you can do this using our partnership with Western Union.

Remember, if you want to pay the discounted fee, you will need to pay your tuition fees in full before you enrol.

Financial support for international students

If you choose to study one of our courses, you may be able to get financial support to help you with the costs of your studies.

Our International Student Fund is a limited fund designed to support you if you have an expected financial crisis, such as your usual source of income has been delayed or lost, or you have had to pay unplanned and unavoidable costs. For financial advice and to make an application to the fund please make an appointment to see your Specialist Adviser through the Gateway in your campus Library.

Each year we offer Creative Scholarships designed to support students in a variety of disciplines. They are allocated on merit, with eligibility varying from scholarship to scholarship. More information about these can be found on the financial support pages for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Your local British Council office can also give you details of scholarships and other sources of funding that you can apply for as an international student.
