Communication & Design

Industry overview

In a world where technology and communications are constantly evolving, industry demand for specialist design and communication skills has soared, with digital development providing multimedia, multi-layered opportunities for new graduates.

From giant advertising hoardings on the side of skyscrapers to the font on a magazine page, the influence of graphic designers has seeped into every aspect of modern consciousness.

Visual communication explores the mechanisms of conveying messages and meaning through a diverse range of media. From the hieroglyphics of ancient Egypt to the complexity of contemporary app design, visual communication has been utilised by businesses, organisations and individuals for centuries, with journalism and creative writing harnessing the power of the written word.
