If you do not have UK qualifications, we will consider equivalent qualifications from your home country for entry onto our Foundation, Bachelor’s and Master’s courses.
Please click on the name of the country you are from to see the list of accepted qualifications (including English language qualifications) for each level of course. Each application we receive is considered individually and therefore these qualifications are provided as a guide.
As well as academic qualifications, some of our courses require a portfolio of work. You can find out more about specific course entry requirements on our individual course pages. If you are not sure if you have the necessary qualifications for your course, or your country isn't listed, please get in touch with our Admissions team – you will find our contact details at the bottom of this page.
International Baccalaureate
If you are studying the International Baccalaureate, the number of points you need to achieve can vary depending on the strength of your portfolio and the number of Higher Level points you achieve. As a guide, the number of points applicants are usually asked to achieve is
- Bachelor’s courses (except BA (Hons) Architecture): 27 total points.
- BA (Hons) Architecture: 29 points.
- Four Year Bachelor’s and Further Education Courses: minimum of 24 points.
We do occasionally make offers lower than this entry criteria, to students with a strong portfolio or those who have faced difficulties that have affected their performance and who were expected to achieve a higher result.
Master of Architecture (MArch)
For the MArch, we require the equivalent of a UK 2:2 Honours degree in Architecture. For international qualifications, the exact grade required will be confirmed at the time of application. If you have any queries, please get in touch with the Admissions team.
